The 7-Day Scripture Before Social Media Challenge
Set the one rule
For seven days, read a passage before opening your chosen social apps. Choose a five-minute window, not an idealized half-hour. Set your Bible or devotional app where you will see it first, and pause the apps that tend to take over the morning.
Days one and two: notice the pull
Do not try to prove anything. Just notice how often your hand reaches for the phone and what you expect to find there. Read a Psalm or a short Gospel passage, then name one word or phrase that catches your attention.
Days three through five: make it personal
After reading, offer a one-sentence prayer from the actual condition of your day: gratitude, frustration, fear, hope, or uncertainty. The goal is not polished spirituality. It is honest presence. If you have time, write one sentence about what you want to carry with you.
Days six and seven: decide what remains
At the end of the week, ask what changed. Did the pause make you calmer, more intentional, or simply more aware of the habit? Keep the part that helped. A seven-day challenge is not a new law; it is a chance to discover a rhythm worth continuing.
